Hi my crafty friends!
This week I’ve created two more cards using Studio Katia’s Floral Trimmings stamp set again. Last week’s card was super fun to color in–and super time consuming. Today’s cards are quick and easy, at least quicker than coloring in a full panel of flowers. The techniques I’m using work with any large floral stamp sets you may have in your stash.
For both cards I heat embossed the stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and clear embossing powder onto Bristol Smooth card stock. Card #1 took more time than the second card. I die cut hearts from the panel. I still had a little bit of coloring to do, but it took just a few minutes. I used Zig brush markers to color in these little flowered hearts. The Zigs are so vibrant and fun to color with! I attached these hearts onto my card panel using foam tape.
For card #2 I cut the embossed panel into one inch by five inch strips and ink blended some distress inks onto them. I used two colors of Distress Oxides for each strip. This is a fast and easy way to add color to your cards! I used foam tape to attach these strips onto my card front as well.
Here is the process video I filmed for these cards. You can watch it here or on my YouTube channel in HD. I hope you’ll try these two fun techniques! Thanks for stopping by!
