Cards for Blog 4

Card #1: Sweet Memories Floral Card

To create this card I used a piece of pattern paper from June’s Card Kit. One of my favorite things from the kit each month is their beautiful pattern paper. The pad is called Life is a Party. You can purchase this pad separately from the card kit. I thought it would be fun to add a little bit of color over this cute black and white design. I blended on some Cracked Pistachio and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks. I used these same inks with the addition of Picked Raspberry to color in the flowers and leaves from the Small Die of the Month. I cut out the flower pieces with white cardstock. Blending on ink is a really fast way to color in your die cuts. I also added some Copic markers to provide a little more contrast. The sentiment comes from the pack of Die Cut Shapes which you can also purchase separately from the card kit.

Card #2: Celebrate Life Floral Card

I used another piece of pattern paper for this card. The cutting dies from the kit coordinated perfectly with this paper. I used the kit’s cardstock to cut out most of my flowers. I also die cut some with white cardstock and then colored them with Copic markers to match the pattern paper. I adhered the pattern paper to a portion of a white cardstock panel. The die cuts helped me achieve the look of extending the pattern down onto the white space of the panel. I used foam tape to pop up my flowers. The sentiment comes from the pack of Die Cut Shapes and I also added foam tape behind it.

Card #3: Friends Forever Floral Card

You can probably tell that I love floral cards! I used a really fun technique on this card to stamp out my flowers. I used the floral cutting dies to cut out some fun foam. I then used a little bit of tape runner to attach them to my acrylic stamping blocks. Then I had fun stamping out my own piece of pattern paper onto a kraft cardstock panel. I also stamped a few flowers onto some white cardstock to create my little floral cluster next to the sentiment. I fussy cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. The white outline around the flowers matched the white outline on the die cut shape sentiment.

Spellbinders Elegant Twist Collection | Flowers & Butterflies Cards

Hello everyone! Today I’m crafting with some new cutting dies from Spellbinders’ Elegant Twist collection. I get to show you their circle and square sets. I’m straying from my usual A2 size cards, and I’m creating 5 inch square cards with these dies. I love this very creative and beautiful die collection from Beeca Feeken. They are the kind of sets you keep within reach in your stash.

Card #1: Just Saying Hello Card

For my first card, I’m using all three sizes of the circle Elegant Twists on the card. I’m also using some floral cutting dies from Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month for June. All of the pattern paper and cardstock comes from their Card Kit of the Month. I stacked my pieces, added a few flowers and a sentiment. This was a fun card to put together–you can create elegant cards in no time with these dies.

Card #2: It’s Your Birthday Card

I cut out the largest square die with a piece of metallic cardstock. I used the outline die to cut it out. I added a piece of pattern paper over it using the outline die that fits inside the square. The butterflies come from a previous card kit. The sentiment comes from another Beeca Feeken stamp and die set called “All Occasion Sentiments.”

Floral Birthday Card | Spellbinders June Small Die of the Month | Handing You A Smile

Hello everyone! Today I’m crafting with Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month for June. This set is called, “Handing You A Smile.” There are 13 cutting dies in this set, and you can create lots of beautiful flowers. It also includes a hand shape and the shadow for it. This is such a unique set–I love how you can place the flowers in the hand die-cut.

Card 1

All of the cardstock I used for this card came from leftover paper from Spellbinders’ Card Kits of the Month. I had so much fun putting these flowers together! You can mix and match all the die cut pieces. My favorite flower is the one that cuts line details into the paper. When you put it together, you see the side view. I cut these dies out with two different pink cardstocks. The petal in front I popped up with a foam square to give it some cute dimension.

I wanted to add more interest to this birthday card by cutting up some blue and green cardstock into panels and popping them up with foam squares onto a piece of navy cardstock. I made sure that the navy cardstock matted each panel. I stamped my sentiment on one panel, I place the hand on the second panel and glued the flowers on the last two. I made sure to use pale colors behind my flowers so they wouldn’t compete for attention–I wanted the flowers to be the star of the show.

Pup In Cup 3

Card #1: Paper Piecing Card

For my first card I wanted it to be a masculine card. I stamped out the Pup In a Cup onto a piece of Spectrum Noir Smooth Cardstock which is great to use with Copic markers. I stamped this image two more times–once on white cardstock again and once on kraft cardstock. To color in my images I used lots of Earth Tone Copic markers. I had so much fun coloring in this darling pug!

Next, I fussy cut it out as well as an extra pair of paws and the wrapper around the cup. This is where the paper piecing comes in. I embossed the cup wrapper with a Dot Matrix folder to add some texture and then popped it up on the cup with foam squares. I used more foam adhesive behind his little paws. This adds some dimension and texture to the card and makes the image look kinda 3-D. After I decided which of all the cute sentiments to use, I stamped, “Pugs & Kisses” at the bottom of the card. It just fit perfectly there. For my last touch, I added a sparkly orange enamel heart .

Card #2: Pug in a Window Card

Card 2 is my feminine version–hence, the pink bow. I wanted to put the pup in a cup behind my little cut-out window. I used a Peekaboo Window Die from MFT Stamps that also cut out darling stitched detail around it. However, before I cut it out, I attached a piece of Summer Splash Pattern Paper from Pink & Main. I glued her bow onto the corner of the window to make it part of the frame.

I used lighter brown Copic markers of this pug. I also used the small circle stamp and the semi-circle stamp to add cute dots onto the cup. I fussy cut out my pup in a cup again and adhered it to the inside of the card. You can see the pup with her pink bow on the outside, but when you open the card, you can see the full image and an additional sentiment.

Summer Cards | Techniques & Inspiration using In Love Arts Shop Products | June 2020

Card 7

Card #1: Bold Alphabet Hi Card

I love the look of this alphabet die set, and I’m used the negative piece to create this fun card. First, I blended some Distress Oxide onto a piece of white card stock using rainbow colors. I die cut the Bold Alphabet die set with another a piece of white card stock and cut it down to 51/4 x 4 inches. I used foam tape behind this panel to pop it up. I used the “H” and “I” die cuts for my sentiment. I blended on Candied Apple and Carved Pumpkin and added a double layer of foam tape behind them–the sentiment is popped up even higher than the white panel.

Card #2: Hello Summer Card

I love the Seaworld embossing folder, and I used it to emboss a piece of Desert Storm card stock. I wanted it to look like sand. I did leave the top of the card stock out of the embossing folder to leave me a space for my Hello sentiment. I used letters from the Bold Alphabet dies for my sentiment. I ink blended Abandoned coral over them and popped them up with foam tape. The “summer” sentiment comes from the “Summer Vacation” stamp set. I stamped it over a piece white card stock which I ink blended some Tumbled glass onto.

Card 2

Card #3: Dream Big Card

This was a fast and fun card to put together. I used more rainbow colors Distress Oxide Inks, and covered it with the Dream die cut. I also die cut it out using some silver metallic paper so I could adhere some silver stars around the panel.

Card 3

Card #4: Rosy Day Card

The Blooming Rose Die took up most of the space on this card–I love big dies like this. I took the pieces out of the rose and pounced my ink blending tool on them to get this fun dappled look. I them glued them in place with dots of liquid adhesive. I used the bold alphabet dies again for my sentiment on this card. Another reason I love alphabet dies is you can create your own sentiment!

Card #5: Summer Sunshine Card

The images from the Summer Vacation Stamp set are so detailed and cute. I stamped out the sunglasses and flip flops first, masked them, and then stamped the towel. I had to mask the towel to stamp out the tote bag. When you overlap images like this, it make your card more interesting. After all the images were stamped out, I put masks over all of them and ink blended on more Distress Oxides. I wanted it to look hot and summery. I then colored in all my images with Copic markers.

Card #6: Sweet Cupcake Birthday Card

Here’s another big cutting die! I adore it! It’s perfect for making up some fast and cute birthday cards. I masked off the edges of a piece of white card stock and ink blended the same colors that I used on card #1. I left the cupcake white, but I heat embossed some silver embossing powder over the bow and the sentiment.

Hello and welcome! It’s time for some summer card crafting! I’m using new crafty goodies from Sunny Studio. I fell in love with their stamp set called Radiant Plumeria–and it’s a fabulous layering set! Not only are these kinds of stamps fun to layer and build dimension, but they are also perfect for the times you don’t feel like coloring. All you need is ink.

I love the bold summer sentiment in this set, and you also have lots of other sentiments to pair it with!
