Spellbinders has a new collection of dies and stamps that are shopping themed! This combines the best of both worlds–card crafting and shopping!! I love these products–they were designed by Becky Roberts (Inking Idaho). I have created several cards using these sets and I had a blast!

Card 1

The first collection I’m playing with is called Shopping Bags. It includes 5 dies–they cut out 2 sizes of bags, two sizes of handles and two handle designs. You also get the cutest little mini tag die to attach to your bags.

I created a slimline celebrate card. It was very simple to make. You can create actual mini bags with these dies that you can put thing in, but for this card I cut off the edges and bottoms of the die cuts and popped them up with foam tape. I did a little bit of ink blending around the edges of the bags to add interest. I stamped the sale and super sale images using the coordinating stamp set called, Shopping Bag Sentiments. I love this stamp set

To finish it off, I attached the bags to a piece of Portobello cardstock that I embossed using the Diagonal Stripes Embossing Folder.

Card 2

I couldn’t get enough of the darling shopping bags, so I created another card with them. It’s another slimline but landscape orientation. This time I created the bags by cutting out two of each and gluing them together along the score lines. I heat embossed the sentiments for the bags with white embossing powder, cut them out and glued them onto the bags. I love the sentiment on this card! This will be a fun card to send out to one of my friends to set up a shopping date. I didn’t have any tissue paper on hand, so I put vellum inside two of the bags to look like tissue paper. I used the tiny tag die this time and tied them onto the bags with some bakers twine.

Card 3

On my third card I’m using the set called Shopping Cart Holiday & Presents. This is another fun-fabulous set! You can create lots of different sizes of presents and bows. It even comes with a Christmas tree that you can put present under.

I cut out my presents using many different colors of Spellbinders’ Cardstock Essentials. I added some ink blending to them for more interest, and used a white gel pen to add highlights. The white panel behind the presents I embossed using the Big Dot Slimline embossing folder. I also ink blended on some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink.

Some of the presents I popped up with foam tape, and others I glued down flat. I turned this into a birthday card by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment onto one of the presents.

Card 4

Look at this darling mini shopping cart! I love this set; it’s called 3D Shopping Cart. You can actually put things inside this cart. It’s a very well designed set of dies and very easy to put together. I added a few more shopping bags inside the cart and a present. I used the Shopping Bag Sentiments stamps again to stamp out the sentiment as well as the lines underneath the cart. I love how this card turned out!!
