“May the Forest be with You” Card

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by.  For this week’s card I created an enchanting forest scene.

This was very fun to put together.  It all started with an embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers.  It added great texture for the first layer of this card.

Next, I cut out a frame using two rectangular dies with faux stitching–gotta love the faux stitching!  For the center of the frame I pulled out my stamp pads to blend ink onto some white card stock for the grass and sky.

Image3.jpgI stamped my fox image onto some white card stock, as well and colored it in using Prismacolor pencils.

My favorite thing I used for this card was the Tree-mendous die cuts from MFT to create the forest.  I absolutely love this die set.  More faux stitching!

Mother’s Day Card

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my blog!  Id’ like to wish everyone a very Happy Mother’s Day today!  I wanted to share the Mother’s Day card I created for my sweet mom.

Mothersday_2016_THUMBNAIL.jpgI absolutely love flower stamps, and this one from Altenew called Peony Bouquet is simply gorgeous!  It’s a layering set, but I just used the outline stamps for this card.  I stamped it with pink distress ink onto pink card stock.

This gave me a no-line effect when I colored it in with some Prismacolor pencils.

Here’s how it all came together.  Hope you like it!  Thanks for visiting!

Wedding Card – Silver Heat Embossed

Hello and welcome to my craft table!  For today’s card I’m sharing the wedding card I created for one of my darling nieces.

Bride_&_Groom_THUMBNAIL

I wanted it to be simple and elegant.  Her color palette includes various shades of purple and blue, so I’m using a purple pigment ink to repeatedly stamp out some small flower blossoms.  I also used the coordinating purple card stock to die cut the heart.  I used blue card stock for the base of the card.

This layering stamp set was a lot of fun to use.  After I stamped the first flower layer, I masked the flowers with Post-it notes that I stamped and cut out.  Then I stamped the two leaf layers with two different colors of green ink.  It allowed me to make the leaves appear as though they are behind the flowers.

For a touch of sparkle, I stamped the second flower layer with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder, as well as the sentiment.

Hope you enjoy the video! Watch it here or at my YouTube channel.

Here is the list of supplies I used for this card:

I also used card stock from MFT called Periwinkle and Blue Breeze.  The purple pigment ink is Periwinkle from MFT.  I included at the bottom of this list the stamp set that I used to stamp and heat emboss the two silver hearts above my sentiment.
