SSS Masterpiece Box Opening/Crazy Dog Card

My Masterpiece Box arrived in the mail on Saturday!  I opened it right away to see all the fabulous stamps and dies!  Unfortunately, I had to wait for the kids to go to bed until I could get inky with it.

Here’s a few pictures of the beautiful stamps included in the box.

I’m really looking forward to making up some Christmas in July cards with this gorgeous set from Hero Arts–so thrilled it comes with dies too!  I’m from Chicagoland, and the state bird is the cardinal.  I love cardinals!

Here’s the Crazy Dog set.  This is the first stamp set I unwrapped.  I love how they stamp out!  So sketchy and fun!  I love all the cross-hatch shading.  I colored in one of the dogs, it was difficult selecting which to use first, with my polychromos pencils.

However, before the coloring, I masked off the dog and stamped out the accessories that came in the set onto my card panel.  It made a cute patterned paper!

I only colored in the dog so he would stand out, and I liked the look of the black and white background & sentiment.  I pulled out a sentiment from the new Altenew Floral Frame set.  I thought it went really well with the dog’s amazed expression.  Lol!  For another small pop of color, I matted my panel onto some green card stock to match his collar.

Birthday Lilies Card

Hello everyone! I’m back with another card video using some Zig watercolor markers. This was the perfect medium to capture the vibrant color of these lilies. I have lilies growing along the borders of my home and I took a closer look at them before I started coloring them.

However, first I heat embossed my lily images with VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.

Heat embossed images are a lot of fun to paint. The raised edges contains the paint and allows for quick and fun coloring.

With the Zig markers you get an immediate pop of vibrant color. I used a water brush to soften out the color along the ends of the flowers and to blend the green centers of the lilies into the orange and yellow.

I used the coordinating dies to cut out my lilies. The dies leave a crisp white border around the flowers.

I raised up the lilies on mounting squares to add some dimension. I also added some sparkle with my clear Spectrum Noir glitter pen over the lilies and some yellow sequins scattered around the card.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
