Hello & Welcome! I have a short but sweet blog post today showing Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month Kit for September. It is called Hello & Thank You! There are 18 cutting dies in this set, and as usual, it’s a very cute and well thought out set.
The cardstock and pattern paper I used to create this card are from the September Card Kit of the Month. I glued my diamond shaped wreath together before I adhered it onto the front of my card. One of the small dies cuts out the little white flowers you see in my tray below. They looked like Christmas bulbs to me, so that’s how I used them.
I colored in the bulbs with Copic markers. Copic Markers: RV06, YR04, YG13, G07, B24
I attached the bulbs to the little stems that look like a lot like the string on Christmas lights. After they were all in place, I added glossy accents over them. This really made them look like twinkle lights. I put my card aside to dry for about an hour.
Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! I have a couple of new products to show you from Arteza. They have some new products just for us card crafters–Blank Watercolor Cards and Watercolor Postcards. I stamped a couple of large floral images on these blank cards and pulled out some Arteza watercolor mediums. The paper of these cards is 100% cotton, and I loved painting on them!
I also have a coupon code for you from Arteza. It’s good for 10% off your purchase: JackiesCraftTable7 It’s valid from September 12th until October 17th.
Postcard: Thankful Flowers
I stamped out my floral images and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. This makes watercoloring very fast and easy. You don’t have to wait for your paint to dry before beginning on another section. The embossed lines are like little wells around each stamped section and contains the paint. To paint this, I pulled out my set of Arteza 36 Watercolor Half Pans. I love watercolors, and this set from Arteza really has some beautiful colors in it.
I usually add some type of sequin to my cards, but since this is a postcard, I spattered it with little flicks of paint.
Card: Floral Surprise
Arteza’s Blank watercolor cards are a little bit bigger than the A2 sized cards I usually create. I could have cut this card down, but I wanted to try out this size. It was a great size for the large floral image I used. This time I didn’t heat emboss my image.
I colored in my card with Arteza’s Watercolor Pencils. I love watercolor pencils. You can use them as colored pencils or you can add water to smooth and brighten up your colors.

Card #1: Stacked Pumpkins Slimline Card
This stack of pumpkins was so much fun to create on a slimline card–I wouldn’t have been able to do this tall of a stack on a regual A2 cards. I love all the images from this Happy Fall set! I stamped out my crow first and then stamped down from there, masking as I went along. I stamped on a piece of speckled off-white cardstock from MFT called Primitive Cream Heavyweight Cardstock. I love using colored cardstock for my colored pencil work. It gives you a nice base color to start with.
I then colored in my images with colored pencils. I colored the pumpkins different colors to add variation to my scene. I then masked my images and colored in the background behind them with Distress Oxide Inks. This is a really fast way to add color to your work.
Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils:
Dark Cadmium Yellow 108, Cadmium Orange 111, Dark Cadmium Orange 115, Light Cadmium Red 117, Deep Red 223, Light Red-Violet 135, Purple Violet 136, Delft Blue 141, Warm Grey VI 275, Black 199, Pink Madder Lake 129, Raw Umber 180, Terracotta 186, Burnt Umber 280, Permanent Green 266, Hooker’s Green 159
I used the largest wonky stitch slimline die this time and cut out a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. This is the paper to use if you are using your Arteza or Zig Real Brush Pens. It allows the pens to blend beautifully. I stamped and masked my scenes using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and poured clear embossing powder over them. Once I melted the embossing powder, the lines were shiny and smooth. The embossed lines contain the watercolors, so you can paint and don’t have to worry about your images bleeding into each other.
I cut out another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using the smallest wonky stitch die and used that for my sentiment strip and to separate my two scenes. I stamped two more sentiments–one above each scene. The sentiments fit perfectly in the top corners of these scenes.
Arteza Real Brush Pens:
Pumpkin – Sunset Yellow, Orange, Autumn Red; Stem – Pale Green, Basil Green; Backbird – Wisteria Purple, Amethyst Purple, Eggplant Purple, Noir; Beak – Lemon Yellow, Peach; Leaf – Basil Green, Pale Green. Lemon Yellow, Orange, Cadmium Orange. Cheeks – Rouge Pink; Scarecrow – Face & Hands – Cantaloupe; Hat – Green Tea; Patches, Lemon Yellow, Orange; Straw Hair – Lemon Yellow, Orange; Jeans – Night Sky Blue

Hello and happy Labor Day weekend to you all! Spellbinders’ September card kit is here, and this one is my favorite so far this year! This kit is just way too cute this month. It’s full of gnomes, mushrooms, beautiful fall leaves, flowers, hedgehogs, and the list goes on and on. I had a blast crafting with this kit, and I especially loved the stamp set with the coordinating dies! This is the kind of kit you don’t want to miss out on!
Hello crafty friends! Welcome! It’s still August but I’m creating my first Halloween card of the year. When I saw this new stamp set from Not 2 Shabby, I had to ink it up right away. It’s called Critter Costume Party. You get a lot of darling images and sentiments in this set.
I also have a 10% off coupon code for you for the Not 2 Shabby Shop: N2S10
This is 1 of the 4 new stamp sets in the Not 2 Shabby Shop. All of them are fall/Halloween themed. Here is a link to check them out: New Stamps Bundle
They are all fall/Halloween related stamps. With this bundle you’ll be all set for your fall time card crafting.
I stamped most of the images onto a piece of Spectrum Noir Smooth White Cardstock–great for using with your alcohol markers. All colored them in using the same yellow, purple and brown markers. This will add cohesion to your card. I fussy cut them out with a small, white border.
I used a window die to cut out a frame with black cardstock and with Bristol Smooth Cardstock. The latter paper works beautifully with ink blending. I blended Distress Inks onto the little window panels. The colors I used are Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet on 2 panels. On the other 2 panels I used Carved Pumpkin, Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade. I wanted to put some bright colors behind my critters.
Next I started putting the card together. I glued down the window frame and window panel with liquid adhesive.
I used foam tape to pop up my critters in the windows. I also used some Pretty Pink Posh jewels call Boo to add some sparkle to the card.
And here is the finished card! I had a blast putting this one together! Let the fall time and Halloween time card crafting begin!!
Hello crafty friends! I have a few projects to share with you! I’m crafting with Spellbinders August Card Kit, their Small Die of the Month and a darling stamp & die bundle from Fun Stampers Journey called Craft Happy.
The first three cards I created using the August Card Kit. It’s called Around the World, and it’s all about vacations and relaxation. To create card number 4 I used the Small Die of the Month, and on card number 5 I used a new stamp and die set from Fun Stampers Journey.
Card 1: Relax with Fruity Drinks and Popsicles Card
I loved the paper pad that came in this kit. The designs are fabulous. On my first carded I used this happy looking paper paper from the pad Around the World. I also used a lot of cute die cut shapes from the kit.
Card #2: Happy Journey Card
I used another piece of pattern paper for my next card. I love stripes. I also used several die cut shapes and colored them in with colored pencils. I also colored the stripes behind my sentiment pink to help make the sentiment die cut shape stand out a little more. I stamped the word happy with red ink to make it pop.
Card #3: Staycation Card
This has been my vacation this year–a staycation. I didn’t travel anywhere with my family because of the pandemic. However, like this card says, “I heart here!” Home is one of my favorite places to be. Give me home and family and books (and crafting supplies) and I’m a happy camper. I let my books take me to exotic locations this year.
Card #4: A Little Note Card
I used the Small Die of the Month to create this card. The set is called Sitting Pretty. I cut out the dies with several shades of pink cardstock. I glued the shapes onto a gray panel. I used the inlay technique to add pink cardstock inside the die cuts. This set is fun because you can create your own sentiment with this alphabet die set. I love all occasion cards, so I simply spelled out “Hi” and “A Little Note.”
Below you’ll see what exactly these little dies look like. They are very ornamental and pretty.
Card #5: Creativity is Messy Card
On card #5 I’m using a new Fun Stampers Journey stamp and die bundle called Craft Happy. I love the stamps in this set and the pretty lime green coordinating dies. I stamped the paint tube stamp onto pieces of colored cardstock. I used the coordinating die to cut them out. I used Copic markers to add a little bit of detail to each tube. This is a very simple card, but I love how it turned out. There is so much you can do with this darling set!
Here is a look at the stamp set as well as the coordinating dies. I love that they’re lime green!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hello! Welcome. I’m creating something a little different today. Spellbinders sent me some really adorable cutting dies to kick off our Halloween and Christmas crafting. I’m not ready for fall yet, but crafty supplies like these make me feel a little bit better about our impending fall and winter seasons. These are some new dies set in the Spellbinders shop designed by Becca Feeken, and they are called Charming Cottage and Spooky Cottage dies. I created two treat boxes using elements from both sets. However, I am planning on creating some spooky, fun Halloween cards using these dies.
There are actually three sets in this new release, but I have two of them to show you. I love all the embossed details that these dies create. The spooky tree is just fabulous–the die embosses the grain of the bark!
I filled my treat boxes with lots of Halloween candy–yes, it’s August and the stores are already selling Halloween candy! You can put a lot of candy in these seemingly little boxes.
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! I have never used acrylics of any sort in my art or my cards, and today I’m trying out Jane Davenport’s Storytime Paint Pens called Wonderland. I love trying out new art mediums, and I really had fun with these pens. The set comes with 5 bold pens and 5 fine pens of the same colors. I love how smooth they go down on the paper, and I love that they look bold and bright on any color of cardstock you use.
Today they are giving this set of pens away with a purchase of $75 or more. It’s a $39.99 value! They also have black and white acrylic pens.
Card #1: Doodle Flower Die Cuts Card
On my first card I began by doodling on kraft cardstock with these pens. I wanted some of the kraft to show through, but I added many layers of colors. The pens are opaque, so you can add lots of layers and the colors show up brilliantly. I then die cut them with a set of Spellbinders floral cutting dies which came in a previous card kit. However, use whatever dies you have on hand if you want to give this technique a try. I love the look of these flowers–so fun and bright!
Card #2: Doodle Flower on Black Cardstock
I drew in my flower with a white charcoal pencils on a piece of black cardstock. I then went over my lines with these pens. I added lots of dots and doodles, and I thoroughly enjoyed painting with these pens.
Welcome to day 3 on the Under the Sea Hop! Click on the hashtag #saturdayunderthesea to see more inspiration from other hop participants. Today I have a fun cartoon slimline card to show you. I’m using a darling set from In Love Arts Shop called Ocean Animals & Mermaid Stamp set. I love the cute way these stamps are drawn.
I stamped the images onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I also stamped out masks for the images. I covered the images with the masks and had fun ink blending using some Distress Inks.
I colored in all my images with an assortment of Copic Markers. I keep my Copics out on my desk because I use them so often. Here’s a picture of my messy desk–lol–but I wanted to show you these marker holders from Stamp & Storage. I love them because they have little slots in them to help me keep my Copics organized.
Welcome back for day 2 of the Under the Sea inspiration hop! Today I created a mermaid card using a beautiful block stamp that I picked up at my local craft store. I stamped her out onto a piece of Gina K Designs Artist’s Choice Cardstock which is great for colored pencils. I pulled out some Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils to color in my mermaid. I love coloring mermaids, and for her tail I followed the inspiration on the block stamp and colored it in with blues and purples.
I then fussy cut her out, added some foam tape behind her and place her on a velum heart.
The sentiment comes from the LDRS stamp set called Mermaid Treasure. I stamped this using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then I pour on some Gina K Designs Fine Detail Clear Embossing powder. When you melt the powder, it gives a nice shine to the sentiment.
The stencil I used is called Perfect Pool Water from MFT. I used 3 different colors of Distress ink onto this panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio. The white lines left behind seemed to stark white, so I shifted the stencil and added more color.
Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils:
Skin: Burnt Siena 285, Burnt Umber 280, Light Red Violet 135, Light Yellow Ochre 185
