5 Cards | Inspiration & Techniques using In Love Arts Shop Products | March 2020

Hello and welcome! I’m collaborating again with the In Love Arts Shop, and I created 5 very different cards with some fabulous products from the shop. There is quite a wide variety of crafting products available, and to create my cards I used their cutting dies, stamps, pattern paper and enamel dots. I also have a 15% off coupon code for you if you’d like to check out the shop: S5581  Here is the link to the shop: In Love Arts

Card #1: Sweet Thank You Card

The stamp set is called Waiting Girl, and she is just adorable. I stamped her onto a piece of white card stock and cololred her in with Copic markers. I used a beautiful piece of striped pattern paper behind my main panel called Love Forever. I really love the simplicity of this card. I think this image would also go great with the sentiment, “Thinking of you.”

Copic Markers: Skin – E51, E11, E33  Hair – E21, E23, E25  Flowers – Y11, Y15  Flower Centers – E21, E23, E25  Dress – B41, B93, B45, Y11  Desk – N2, N4, N5

Card #2: Paper Pieced Heart Jar Card

The star of the show for this card is the darling cutting die called, Love You Bottle Dies. I cut it out several times with different colors of card stock and paper pieced it back together.

Image2

Card #3: Stamped Pattern Love You Card

I used the Waiting Girl stamp again for this card, but just the smaller images. I stamped them randomly across my purple panel with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I love this ink; it’s crisp and dark. Then I pulled out some colored pencils to quickly color in the images. The word die cuts come from the Love You Bottle Dies. I cut them out 5 times, and used liquid glue to adhere them together. This gave is some fun dimension on my card.

Image3

Card #4: Pocket Full of Flowers Card

I really love this little cutting die; it’s called, Flower in Pocket Dies. Getting a card like this in the mail would brighten anyone’s day! I had fun paper piecing the flowers and greenery over the blue die cut. I used another piece of pattern paper from the Love Forever pack behind my die cut.

Image4

Card #5: Colored Pencils on Pattern Paper Card

I used another of the little girl images on this card, and this time I stamped her directly on a piece of pattern paper. I love the soft butterflies on this paper, and it was my inspiration for my color palette.

Arteza Colored Pencils: Skin: Earth Red, Yellow Ochre, Peaches & Cream, Hair: Sunflower Yellow, Rust Orange, Hazelnut Brown Dress: Watermelon Pink, Peaches & Cream, Mykonos Blue, Robin Egg Blue

Copic Coloring, Floral Cards, Not 2 Shabby

Coloring Skin Tones with Copic Markers | Not 2 Shabby Design Team Project | The Greeting Farm: Miss Anya Buckles Stamp

Hi crafty friends! Thank you for stopping by. My focus for today’s card projects is a new stamp set from The Greeting Farm called Miss Anya Buckles. This is my design team stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop for the month of February, and I adore these darling images! I decided I wanted to color them in with my Copic markers. I love coloring various skin tones and hair with these alcohol markers. For each girl I’m using a different skin tone combination and hair combination. The size of these stamp images are great for practicing coloring skin tones and hair with your Copic markers or  whatever medium you choose.

If you’d like to pick up this stamp set, I’ve listed the links below, and I have a 10% off coupon code for you for the Not 2 Shabby Shop: N2S10

Here is the link to the Not 2 Shabby Shop: https://www.not2shabbyshop.com/?AffId=19

Card #1: Friend in Me Card

I colored in this card with the following list of Copic markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E11; Hair: R43, E11, YR21; Shirt: N4, N1; Sweater: YG61, YG63; Skirt: R20, R43, R35; Boots: E31, E35, E37

For the back ground I used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink over a brick stencil. I distressed this panel by flicking water onto it, and then dabbing it up with a tissue. I put the stencil back on and ink blended more of the Victorian Velvet ink to make the water distressing darker.

Card #2: Hey Card

Copics: Skin: E23, E25, E27; Hair: V01, V17, E49, W3; T-shirt & Socks: V01, V17; Yellow jacket: Y11, Y13, Y17; Blue skirt: B21, B23, B45; Boots: N5, N3, N2

On a panel of Bristol Smooth Card Stock I ink blended on some Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink.

Flowers: V01, V15, V17; Leaves: YG13, YG17; Yellow buds: Y13, Y17

Card #3: So Grateful for You Card

Copics: Skin: E33, E11, E51; Hair: Y27, Y23, Y21, RV04; Pants: B21, B23, B45; Shirt: RV02, RV04, RV06; Boots: E57, E53

On the background I used a cute stencil from MFT, and I ink blended on some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink as well as Picked Raspberry.

All these cards were so much fun to create! I hope you enjoy watching my YouTube video below. The link will take you to my YouTube channel if you’d like to watch it there.

Arteza Products Review & Valentine’s Day Cards | Dimension & Texture with Adhesive Felt

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. Arteza sent me some new products to try–products perfect for card crafting. They sent me their foam mounting tape, adhesive felt, and colored pencils. These are all products that I use often in my card crafting, and I was very excited to try out the Arteza brand.

I created two cards, but I used all all three products to create them. I guess the star of the show for these cards is the adhesive felt. I love crafting with felt, but I don’t like gluing it onto my projects–it takes ages for it to dry and adhere together. However, this adhesive felt from Arteza is a game-changer; it comes in lots of beautiful colors, and it has adhesive on the back. Felt can add some really fun texture and dimension to your cards. I was able to die cut this felt easily with my dies and Sizzix Big Shot machine. It was a blast to play with.

I have links to all the products I used to create these cards below. I also have a coupon code for 10% off your Arteza purchase: JackiesCraftTable4  This coupon code is valid February 8th through March 13th 2020.

Card #1: Squeezable Hearts Card

To create my first card, I used a darling Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things. I colored her in with Arteza’s colored pencils. (I have a video coming soon focusing just on these fabulous pencils.) Next, I stamped her arms and heart on the release paper on the back of a piece of pink felt and fussy cut it. I pulled off the release paper, stuck it over the heart on my image, and then colored and cut out her arms a second time. I used liquid glue to attach the girl’s arms over the heart. I thought it needed a few more felt hearts on the card to give it an added touch of fun.

Image3

Card #2: Felt Critter Hugger Card

To create this raccoon, I used a Lawn Fawn die set called Woodland Critter Huggers. You can create many critters with this one interchangeable set of dies. I thought the Raccoon, paired with the sentiment, “You Stole My Heart” would make the perfect card for Valentine’s day. This was a fast card to put together thanks to the adhesive on the back of this felt.

Image4

Here’s a look at all the felt that came in this bundle. I love this stuff!

Image10Image1

This is the foam mounting tape I used to add dimension behind my little girl image on my first card! This product works just as well as Scotch Foam Tape, and it has a great price point.

Image8

The colored pencils also have a great price point, and you get 120 gorgeous colors. I love colored pencils, and I highly recommend the Arteza brand.

Any Occasion Card, Colored Pencils, Copic Coloring, Not 2 Shabby

Trinity Stamps Mini Encouragement Cards | Not 2 Shabby Design Team Project February 2020

Hello everyone! I have some really top-notch products from Trinity Stamps that I’m focusing my design team project on today for the Not 2 Shabby Shop! This is my first time designing with Trinity Stamps products, but it’s certainly not going to be my last. The products that really grabbed my attention are their 3×4 stamp sentiments and the coordinating Slimline Fold & Frame Dies. Use the code N2S10 to get 10% of you purchase at the Not 2 Shabby Shop!!

Ninety percent of the time I prefer to create A2 sized cards (4 1/4 x 5 1/2); however, the cards I created using these products are mini cards (4×5), and I absolutely adore them! Trinity released 5 of these sentiment stamps which you can use to create mini cards, or regular A2 size cards. The sentiments and the fonts are just lovely!

The Slimline Fold & Frame Dies were really fun to use with these stamps because they cut out a perfect sized card base to fit these stamps–it even scores a line in the middle for easy folding. If you’re planning on picking up any of these products, be sure to use the Image7

Card #1: Chalkboard Hug Card

This stamp is my favorite of the set. I stamped out the sentiment onto a piece of black card stock using white pigment ink. I then colored in the sentiment with some polychromos colored pencils. To make the sentiment really pop off the paper, I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. You really don’t have to put a lot of time and effort into these cards to make them fabulous. Trinity Stamps has done most of the work for you.

Image4

Card #2:

I couldn’t get enough of this stamp, so I created another card with it. This time I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of kraft card stock. I used the coordinating Sending Monster Hugs die to die cut the word hug with different colors of card stock. I colored in the leaves, hearts, and other part of the sentiment with polychromos pencils and then adhered the letters dies onto my card front.

Image1

Card #3: Hug Window Card

On this card I die cut the word hug with the coordinating dies and place a piece of pattern paper behind it. I used foam tape to pop up my main panel. I also heat embossed the sentiment with more white embossing powder.

Image2

Card #4: Ink Blended Love Card

I heat embossed this sentiment with some clear embossing powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock. This card stock is great for ink blending because it has a smooth coating on it. To make the sentiment really pop, I added more colored pencils over the hearts and the love word.

Image3

Card #5: Copic Markers Better World Card

I love the graphics on this sentiment stamp! I had fun coloring it in with Copic markers onto a piece of Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink card stock. I’m loving this paper so far! I added some white Gelly Roll pen to create some highlights–they really helped the card pop!

Image5

I also created some mini envelopes for these cards using my We R Memory Keeper Punch Board. They are so fun and easy to make! Mailing out little encouragement cards like these would create a whole lot of happy in this world!

Here is my process video! You can watch it here or over at my YouTube channel in HD.

Have a happy day, everyone!!

Hero Arts January Card Kit 2020 | Many Techniques & Cards

Hello and welcome to my blog! I adore the Hero Arts January card kit! It includes tons of beautiful dies, stamps, and sentiments. It’s perfect for creating Valentine’s day cards, but it can really be used to create cards for multiple occasions. The sentiments included give you a lot of options. However, the main reason I purchased this kit was for the darling mini envelope die–I absolutely love it! I created 9 cards using this kit this time. The footage for my 10th card disappeared, so it’s almost a 10 cards, 1 kit blog and video.

2020 Hero Arts Jan Kit THUMB

Card #1: Hello Friend Card

For my first card I had to use my favorite products from this kit: the envelope die and the kraft card stock. I used some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to distress the edges of the envelope.  However, I could have added more distressing; it doesn’t show up very well in the photo. I die cut lots of flowers using Neenah Solar White 110# card stock, and I colored them in very quickly using more Distress Oxide Inks and a foam blender.

Image9

Card #2: Envelope & Hearts Card

I couldn’t get enough of the envelope die, so I used it again on card #2. I used some heart dies from my stash to cut out several sizes and colors of heart, and then I distressed the edges using Distress Oxide Inks. I also used the cute text block stamp to create my little letter for the envelope. I used the Pink Sparkle embossing powder from the kit for the sentiment.

Image5

Card #3: Butterfly Silhouette Card

I love creating my own pattern paper backgrounds. First I stamped the text block with gray ink several times on a pink piece of card stock. Then I randomly stamped the small images from the stamp set over the text. I used a piece of ribbon from the kit on this card and some black card stock for my butterflies and sentiment.

Image8

Card #4: Stamped Pattern with Die Cuts Card

I turned the dies from this kit into stamps by cutting them out with fun foam. I then put a few dots of Mono Multi Medium glue. When this glue dries, it dries tacky, and you can put it on an acrylic block to stamp onto your project. You can also reuse these die cut stamps. Make sure you allow the glue to dry for an hour or two before putting them on your acrylic blocks–speeding up this process with your heat tool won’t work unfortunately–I tried. Lol!

Image4

Card #5: Watercolor Die Cuts Card

I had a blast creating the beautiful flowers for this card with some Daniels Smith Watercolors and Arches Cold Press paper. I painted the panel first, allowed them to dry, and then cut them out with all the flowers and leaves dies. I love the soft look of these flowers!

Image7

Card #6: Roses and Banners Valentine Card

For this card I used left-over watercolor die cuts from my previous card. To showcase the flowers and the butterfly I matted them with two banner die cuts. I also cut out the sentiment with the banner die from the kit.

Image2

Card #7: Stamped Pattern with Die Cuts Card–Take 2

I wanted to use the die cut stamps again. I used different colors of Distress Oxide Inks for this one, and I added a dimensional die cut and leaf next to the sentiment.

Image3

Card #8: Peek-a-Boo Flowers Card

Copic Markers: Orange Flowers – YR02, YR04, YR07; Flower Centers – YR24 & YR27; Pink Flowers – RV13, RV14, RV17; Greenery – YG61, YG63, YG97

This is one of my favorites from my set of cards. I die cut more flowers using Neenah Solar White card stock, and I colored them in with Copic Markers. To cut out my white panel I used a scalloped die and popped up the panels with foam tape. I used a piece of soft teal pattern paper behind my flowers.

Image1

Card #9: Butterfly Sympathy Card

This is a simple card, but I love how it turned out! I used one of the leaf dies to cut out several colors of green card stock. For the butterfly I used more white card stock and my Copic markers to color it in. I cut out this butterfly four times and glued them together to add a nice weight to this focal piece of my card.

Copic Coloring, Not 2 Shabby, Valentine's Day Cards

Not 2 Shabby Design Team Project | Snowy Bears Stamp & Copics

Hello everyone! Welcome! The stamp set I chose for my design team project this month is from C.C. Designs, and it’s called, “Snowy Bears.” Playing with this stamp set made this arctic Chicagoland January a little more “bearable.” Sorry for the pun. This is the first stamp set I’ve ever had from C.C. Designs, and I adore it. Just look at the droll expression on the skating polar bear’s face in the picture below.

I stamped him onto a piece of white card stock and drew in a winter scene around him. I used Distress Oxide inks to color in the sky, and for the rest on the scene, I used Copic markers. I also used Copic markers to color in this polar bear.

Image11

Isn’t he the cutest bear ever!! For the sentiment I heat embossed it onto a piece of black card stock with white embossing powder and attached it at the bottom of my card with a bit of foam tape behind it.

Card Kits, Colored Pencils, Copic Coloring, Floral Cards, Spellbinders Card Kit

10 Cards, 1 Kit | Spellbinders | Hey Foxy

Hello! Welcome to my blog! I created 10 cards with Spellbinders card kit called Hey Foxy. As always, I had a ball playing with their kit. I enjoy working with them because I never know what my card is going to end up looking like. I always have a plan in my head when I start designing a card, but the contents of these kits are so eclectic that I end up with something I didn’t imagine. They are usually very fast cards to put together too. They don’t involve a lot of coloring, although I usually find a way to use one of my art mediums. Check out my process video below, and I’ve included links to most of the products I used.

2020 Spellbinders Kit Dec THUMB

Card #1: Stamped Pattern Paper Card

I stamped out my own pattern paper for this card using all the pretty stamps from the set included in the kit. I used a beautiful brown-toned gray ink called Stone. I then used some of the ephemera pieces on top of it.

Image1

Card #2: Easy Wreath Birthday Card

This was the fastest of the cards to put together. I used pattern paper and ephemera pieces. I also used a few gold sequins for a touch of shine. (I love the green striped paper!)

Image2

Card #3: Butterflies & Flowers Card

The focal point of this card is the oval in the center of the card. I surrounded it with ephemera pieces and backed it with pattern paper. The font of these stamps is very pretty!

Image3

Card #4: New Home Card

This is one of my favorite cards! For the sunshine I used an old die from my stash and cut it out with the gold metallic paper. The sentiment fit inside it perfectly. I had to use the house pattern paper and the house ephemera pieces together to create a congrats-on-your-new-home card.

Image4

Card #5: Stripes & Florals Card

Again, love the striped paper–it has craft stripes! I really need more of this paper. There is nothing better than flowers and stripes together.

Image5

Card #6: Foxy Polka Dot Card

I intended this to be a masculine card, but I couldn’t help adding the pink flowers and the cute little fox. I used another die from my stash to create the rectangle piece. The die also cuts out the thin frame.

Image6

Card #7: Queen Fox Card

My favorite part of this whole card is the little crown on the fox’s head. So darling! The fox took some work to die cut and put together, but I love how it turned out.

Image7

Card #8: Happy Bear Card

This card kept changing as I was creating it. I tried to use the sticker that said, “happy,” but it was so thin that I ripped it. I used an ephemera piece instead. I just kept adding ephemera pieces to this card until I couldn’t fit anymore on.

Image8

Card #9: Stamped and Colored Pattern Paper Card

Card 9 is another of my favorites. I love the kraft card stock they usually always include in their kits. It has a very unique coloring to it. I stamped my patter paper using the stamps again, but this time I had to color them in. Card card stock demands colored pencils. I used my polychromos pencils to color in all the images.

Image9

Card #10: Dreams & Flowers Card

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used a piece of the black card stock behind my images, and I think that makes it look so dramatic. I used Copic markers to color in the girl ephemera picture–her hair was so fun to color in! The sentiment is another sticker, and I love how it blends into the background.

Copic Coloring, Valentine's Day Cards

Not 2 Shabby Design Team Projects | You’re Just My Type | Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies

Happy New Year to you all! I’m starting the new year off with a couple of Valentine’s Day cards for my design team projects for the Not 2 Shabby Shop! I was selected to be on their design team with 14 other fabulous designers. The cards I’m creating were extra fun to put together! I’m using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn’s latest Valentine’s Day release called, You’re Just My Type & Love Poems. I adore the old-fashioned typewriters and the little mice! They come with a lot of fun sentiments to stamp onto the typewriter paper. Check out my process video and product links below! I also get to share with you a code to receive 10% off your purchase at the Not 2 Shabby Shop: N2S10  Some exclusions apply.

Image5

Card #1: Interactive Love Note Card

I stamped out all of the images with my Mini Misti stamp positioner and then colored them with Copic markers. For one of the notes, I only stamped 3 sides of the image so I could elongate the note. I stamped the cute sentiment that says, “Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you.” On the back of the teal card stock I created a track that holds in the note and allows it to slide up and down from the typewriter smoothly. I put a stopper at the end of the note so it couldn’t be pulled out completely.

I also had fun creating more little notes that the mouse discarded on the floor until he typed out the perfect love note. I curved up the edges of these papers by gently wrapping them around my craft pick.

Below is a list of the Copic markers I used on this card:

Copic Markers: BG11, BG13, BG18, N0, N2, N4, R000, R00, R01, R02, R22

Image3

Image10

Image2

Card #2: Colorful Love Notes Card

I colored in all of my typewriters for this card with cool gray Copic markers with pops of color that match the card stocks behind them. I also used inks that matched my coloring to stamp out the sentiments. I adhered everything down flat to my card base, except the typewriters which I popped up with foam squares. I added a few silver confetti sequins to add some sparkle to the card.

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Hello my crafty friends! This month’s card kit from Scrapping for Less is all about Valentine’s Day card making! I LOVE creating Valentine’s Day cards, and this kit helped me get a head-start. All the different collections from this kit is fabulous–it’s really like 4 kits in one. Below you’ll see all the ingredients to the Double Dip Sundae kit as well as the Banana Split level kit. I’m crafting with the Banana Split level–I absolutely love the extra little goody bag of products; it’s always amazing and coordinates perfectly with the different collections.

dec.fullcollection

dec.bananasplitdec.oneandtwodec.threeandfourdec.cardstockHere are all six cards I created using this kit!

Image7

Card #1: Woof You Be Mine Card

I love the stamps from this collection! The puppies and sentiments are adorable–great for creating Valentine’s for kids. I colored in my image with Copic markers and used teal blue markers to color in some background around him. To create this card I used one of the sketches selected for this kit. The sketches are fun to play along with–I end up creating cards that I wouldn’t have created on my own.

Image1

Card #2: Love You Furrever Card

I couldn’t get enough of this adorable doggy stamp. I stamped him again with black dye ink and colored him in with Copic markers. I cut out a piece of masking paper using a heart die and used the negative piece over the card panel. I also put a mask over the dog and ink blended around him using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I really love the pattern paper from this collection, and I used a piece to mat my panel.

Image2

Card #3: Wood You Be Mine Card

Collection two contains more fabulous stamps and pattern paper. The inspiration for this card was another of the four card sketches and this piece of plaid paper I used as my background. (I’m gonna need more of this pattern paper!) I colored in the log and the bird with Prismacolor pencils, and I tried matching my coloring to the colors in the pattern paper. I used cool grays and blues and pinks, and I love how this card turned out.

Image3

Card #4: Friendship Card

The stamp set from collection three is so unique and beautiful. I adore it! It has such delicate lines to it, and then you have this cute heart where you can stamp your sentiment. I colored in the hands with more Prismacolor pencils, and I stamped the heart with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. I had to mask the heart while I stamped the hands, and visa versa. I loosely followed another card sketch to create this card.

Image5

Card #5: Arrow Hearts Stencil Card

Collection three also came with a beautiful stencil, and I had fun playing with it! I used some White Glitz Glitter Gel which I dyed pink using a spun sugar re-inker. I gently smeared it over the stencil onto a piece of navy blue card stock. I allowed it to dry for an hour. Next, I used the Love die from the extra pack of goodies you get when you subscribe to the Banana Split level card kit. I cut it out twice and glued them together to give my word die a bit of dimension. This was a fun and fast card to put together!

Image4

Card #6: Snail Mail Card

What a darling stamp set collection four includes! I love the little mail box, and I had to use the puppy stamp from collection one–they went so well together! I colored them in with Copic markers. I used the last of the four card sketches to put this card together. I like how this card turned out because it includes a lot of different papers.

Card Kits, Colored Pencils, Copic Coloring, Pink & Main, Watercolors

5 Cards, 1 Kit | Pink & Main June Card Kit 2019 |The Shore

Hello crafty friends! I’m a bit late getting this blog/video out. I know Pink & Main has their July card kit out already; however, I didn’t want to miss out on showing you what I created with this kit. This is an amazing kit! Their stamp set is full of seafaring images, and they are a good size to color in. On this set of cards I used watercolors, colored pencils and Copics. I really had fun using all the products from this kit!!
