Hello fellow card crafters. Happy Friday! Today I get to show you the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders. If you like the paper strips technique, then you are going to love this die set. The largest die cuts out 3 different sizes of paper strips that will fit on an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch slimline card; however, you can cut the strips down to any card size you want, of course. The set also includes 3 different sentiments and some fabulous decorative dies.
To create this card I cut out a lot of different colors of the new Spellbinders Color Essentials cardstocks. I cut out a lot so I have strips to make additional cards. I put some Stick-It adhesive on a 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 panel of white cardstock and started adding my strips. This adhesive is great because it allows you to reposition your cardstock if you need to. Once you have the strips where you want them, you can press them into the panel with a bonefolder, and they will stick tight.
I used the Happy Birthday sentiment die and cut it out with Poppy Field cardstock and backed it with Raindrop cardstock. I used the decorative dies to create circles around the sentiment and a couple of rainbows. To finish off the card I added some crystal gems.
