Hello my friends! Welcome back. Today I’m showing you the Small Die of the Month for June. This die set is my favorite so far! It’s so creative, and you can do so many things with it. It is fabulous!! I created three cards with this set, and I will be creating many, many more.
For my first card I created a desert scene. I love the little cactus die in this set! You may not know this, but I am a desert girl living in the Midwest world. I love the desert. The largest die from this set cuts out the desert scene, and I used it to cut out several different colors of cardstock. To make each layer pop, I inked up the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I used more colors of Distress Oxide Inks to create my sunset. I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet, Crackling Campfire and Wild Honey.
I used the Clear Stamp of the Month for June for my sentiment. The stamp set coordinates beautifully with this die set. I glued everything down flat except the sentiment which I popped up with foam tape. I used a few of Spellbinders’ gold gems on this card.
For card two I used the triangle die to create the rays of the sun. I cut it out with Beeswax and Persimmon cardstock. I cut out five of each color, and then I used the leftovers scraps to cut out five more rays. I used more Spellbinders cardstock to cut out the mountains and the river–I have the exact colors I used for each card listed in the supply links below. Again, I used the Clear Stamp of the Month for the sentiment.
I had so much fun creating my third card. I used the triangle die and cut out several cardstocks. I glued them down flat with liquid adhesive and popped up the sentiment with foam tape. I love the look of this card!
