Welcome crafty friends! I was so excited when I learned that Spellbinders was releasing Hemstitch Dies for slimline cards! I have a set of rectangle Hemstitch Dies, and I use them a lot. I created three cards with these dies, as well as other products from Spellbinders. I have all of the links to these products listed below.
Card One
I used the largest of the Hemstitch dies on my first card and cut it out with white cardstock. The stamp I used is called Field of Flowers, and I stamped it twice along this panel. I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and pour over clear embossing powder. After I melted it, I blended on two of the new Distress Oxide Ink called Salvaged Patina and Kitsch Flamingo. I used Beeswax cardstock for the card base. I love how soft and pretty this birthday card turned out!
Card Two
My next card is another floral card. I used the largest and the medium Hemstitch dies for this one. I cut them out using Persimmon and Saffron cardstocks. The stamp set is called Block Prints. I inked this stamp up with VersaMark ink and used some colored embossing powder over them. The black panel comes from the smallest Hemstitch die, but I didn’t use the hemstitching on it. I cut out the sunflowers and popped them up with foam adhesive. This would be a perfect card to send out in the fall.
Card Three
This card is my favorite! I used the medium Hemstitch Die and the Small one. The floral dies comes from a darling set called Simply Perfect Layered Bloom Dies. I cut out a bunch of these using the gorgeous new cardstocks from Spellbinders and adhered them around the sentiment.
