Stitched Cards | Spellbinders Large Die Club – May

Have you ever tried embroidering on paper? It is a lot of fun and super easy to do–especially with the Spellbinders Large Die Club for May. This die set is called Stitched Card Front, Border and Flower. I also used the Clear Stamp of the Month for my sentiment on this card. I love how big and bold it is.

I used the flower strip dies to cut a diagonal across a white panel. I chose three hues of pink and started embroidering. I taped the ends of the strings down with double sided adhesive. Before I started embroidering the large flower die cut, I glued two of them together to give it some stability.

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to use Dahlia pink or Cosmic Sky cardstock, so I created two cards. I heat embossed the sentiment with detail white embossing powder. I popped up the white embroidered panel with foam tape. The large flowers and leaves I added to the white panel with micro dots.

I still can’t decide which card I like better. I will definitely be creating more cards with this clever set.
