Happy Monday! Are you ready for more inlay die cutting techniques? I promise, these are very simple and fast to do. I’m using the gorgeous new dies from the Becca Feeken collection called Stained Glass Bouquet.
Card One
For my first card I used the set called Sweet Rondure. I chose 4 different colors of cardstock to inlay in this die cut. Because there are only 3 different inlay shapes to this large die, I was able to jumble them together in my jar trays. I did separate them by color, however. The 3 pieces are very distinctive, so it was very easy to pop them into place–and fun! This is a 5 1/4 square card. The sentiment comes from the All Occasions Sentiments set. I used some pattern paper behind my die cuts, added some gems and that was it.
Card Two
My second card is an A7 size card which is 5 x 7 inches. I used the Deco Blooms die set to create this card. For the background panel I didn’t do any inlaying; I simple ink blended some teal inks onto a piece of white cardstock and then placed the intricate die on top. For the cute round rosettes, however, I did inlay Pink Sand and Dahlia cardstocks–which, again, was very easy to do. The sentiment comes from the Simply Perfect Mix & Match Sentiments–I love these!!
