Here in Chicagoland there is a severe winter storm warning today, and I’m dreaming of spring. I created a Happy Easter card with a couple of new releases from Spellbinders.
I have the Expressions of Spring Sentiments and the Forever Spring Eggs Etched Dies. Small sets with great price points and so lovely!
This slimline card is 3 1/2 by 8 1/2. I used some Fun Stamper’s Journey cardstock to cut out the eggs–Rustic Rose and Lavender Fusion. Then I used the egg outline die to cut them out as well as some glitter paper to back them. I used a piece of Banana Cream cardstock behind my eggs and cut out a trellis using the Stacked Decorative Edge Die from a previous small die of the month kit. It was meant for smaller cards, but I was able to make it work on a slimline by cutting it out once, shifting it upward and cutting it out again.
Behind my Banana Cream panel I blended on some Victorian Velvet and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide inks. I glued everything down flat onto the card.
It was very simple and fun to put together! I’m going to make many more Easter cards with these die sets. Here is my YouTube video. You can watch it here or over at my YouTube channel in HD.
