Hello! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I’m so excited about Scrappy Tails Crafts latest release, and I get to show you a few of the new products. These stamps and dies include products for Valentine’s Day, spring, and Easter, but you could really use them all year round.
For today’s cards I used a gorgeous stamp set called Popping Poppies. I love floral stamp sets! This one has beautifully drawn poppies with cute sentiments such as “Popping by to Say Hi,” “You Make Life Pop,” and You Popped in My Mind.”
Card #1: Poppy Heart Landscape Card
The large heart with poppies image fills up your A2 size card. I colored it in with Prismacolor pencils on kraft cardstock.
Prismacolor Pencils:
Flowers: Poppy Red, Raspberry, White, Dark Umber, Canary Yellow
Leaves: Chartreuse, Spring Green, Apple Green, Dark Green
Outside the Heart: French Grey 90%, French Grey 50%
Inside the Heart: Poppy Red, Pink
Card #2: Poppies on a Trellis Top-Folding Card
I stamped out the single poppies onto white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I used one of the dies from the Basket Pop Up Card Dies to cut out the trellis for my poppies to climb up. I also used the Slimline Everyday Border Dies to cut out grass to put under them.
