Note Card Set | Spellbinders Small Die of the Month July | Ornamental Floral Card Creator

Hello everyone! I created a set of note cards using the Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders. It’s great to have non-occasion cards in your stash that you can grab and send out to friends anytime. The set includes four beautiful dies, and the first thing I thought of when I saw them was stained-glass windows. It’s called Ornamental Floral Card Creator.

The largest of the dies cuts out a beautiful, delicate frame. I die cut everything with white cardstock so you could see it clearly. The blue cardstock is cut to a standard A2 sized panel, 5.50 by 4.25. The frame reaches to the edge of the panel.

 

The other three dies cut out gorgeous flowers.

Card #1: Stained Glass Window Note Card

For my first card cut out these images with many different colors of cardstock and paper-pieced them back into the black frame and the white flower outline.

Card #2: Delicate Purple Flower Card

I used some pattern paper from Spellbinders and allowed that to do most of my work for me. The paper pad is called Express Yourself. This was a fast and easy card to create. I cut out my flower image with white, purple  and green cardstock. I used the white for the frame and the flower outline, and then I paper-pieced the purple and green cardstock inside the flower outline.

Card #3: Partial Paper-Pieced Card

I used more Spellbinders Cardstock for this card. This pattern comes from the paper pad called Weekend Fun. I cut the dies with gold cardstock this time and popped in pieces here and there. I love the touch of gold.

Card #4: Copic Colored Card

This time I only cut out the dies with black cardstock. I used Copic markers to quickly color in each of the frames. I added some Nuvo drops around my flower and that was it!

Card #5: Rainbow Smiles Card

Here’s another piece of gorgeous Spellbinders pattern paper. This pattern if from the pad Life is a Party. I cut out the flowers with white cardstock and glued them flat onto my card. I stamped out a sentiment from July’s Card Kit and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
