Make a Splash Summer Card|Happy Place Collection|Spellbinders & FSJ

Hello Crafty Friends! I have some fabulous products that I just know you are going to fall in love with. I sure did! Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey have a new line of goodies called Happy Place. I have three products to show you from this collection: Sunny Day Stencil, Pool with a View Die Set, and Make a Splash Stamp set. I had a blast creating with these products!

To create my card I pulled out my Distress Ink Cubes. I haven’t used these for a long time. I taped the Sunny day stencil to a piece of white cardstock and blended on Wild Honey and Mustard Seed to create my sunshine. I then cut this panel down to 5.25 by 4 inches. I used more white cardstock to cut out my Pool With a View Dies. On the rim around the pool I used Hickory Smoke and for the water I used Peacock Feathers.

To distress the pool water, I flicked on droplet of water and dabbed them up with a cloth. These Distress Inks are so much fun to play with and they distress beautifully!

I stamped my images onto another piece of white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. I didn’t plan out my colors, I just randomly pulled them out of my Copic storage contains and had fun coloring. I adore all the images in the stamp set! I fussy-cut them out. To put this card together, I adhered everything down flat onto my sunshine panel. I matted this with a piece of green cardstock. I added my sentiment and a few water droplet gems and my card was done!

    1. Hi Lisa, I pulled out this set and looked at it again. The die cuts look like wood planks–maybe to create a boardwalk path around the pool?

      1. Thanks so much for taking the time to look for me! I really appreciate it. I will try cutting a few out (or a hundred😉) and see what it looks like. Thanks for your input.
