Floral Birthday Card | Spellbinders June Small Die of the Month | Handing You A Smile

Hello everyone! Today I’m crafting with Spellbinders’ Small Die of the Month for June. This set is called, “Handing You A Smile.” There are 13 cutting dies in this set, and you can create lots of beautiful flowers. It also includes a hand shape and the shadow for it. This is such a unique set–I love how you can place the flowers in the hand die-cut.

All of the cardstock I used for this card came from leftover paper from Spellbinders’ Card Kits of the Month. I had so much fun putting these flowers together! You can mix and match all the die cut pieces. My favorite flower is the one that cuts line details into the paper. When you put it together, you see the side view. I cut these dies out with two different pink cardstocks. The petal in front I popped up with a foam square to give it some cute dimension.

I wanted to add more interest to this birthday card by cutting up some blue and green cardstock into panels and popping them up with foam squares onto a piece of navy cardstock. I made sure that the navy cardstock matted each panel. I stamped my sentiment on one panel, I place the hand on the second panel and glued the flowers on the last two. I made sure to use pale colors behind my flowers so they wouldn’t compete for attention–I wanted the flowers to be the star of the show.
