Pup in a Cup Stamp Set | Not 2 Shabby Shop | Colored Pencils on Kraft

Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited to introduce the release of a new stamp set in the Not 2 Shabby Shop! It’s called Pup in a Cup. The main image is a darling pug holding onto the edge of a cup. This set also includes lots of fun sentiments and smaller stamps.

I stamped out the pug image onto a piece of Stonehenge Kraft cardstock using a dark chocolate brown ink. I pulled out my favorite art medium to color in this darling doggy, my colored pencils. I adore the look of colored pencils on kraft cardstock. This particular kraft cardstock is fabulous. It has a slight texture to it that allows you to add lots of layers to your work, and the pencils blend beautifully on this paper.

After I finished my coloring, I placed it back in my Mini Misti stamp positioner and re-stamped it. This really helps to revitalize the lines that colored pencils can obscure.

Here is a list of the Faber Castell Polychromos Colored Pencils it used:

Pug: Ivory 103, Light Yellow Ochre 183, Brown Ochre 182, Dark Sepia 175

Coffee: Burnt Ochre 187 & White

Cup: White, Cold Grey IV 233

Wrapper: Raw Umber 180 & Walnut Brown 177

Heart: Deep Scarlet Red 219 & Rose Carmine 124

I then cut it out with a wonky stitch cutting die, added foam tape behind it, and placed in on an A2 sized card base.
