Hello everyone! Welcome! Slimline cards are becoming so popular, and I’ve certainly joined the bandwagon. Trinity Stamps has some new fun products to help you create fabulous slimline cards. When I saw that they now have a wonky stitch die for slimlines, I knew I had to have it. I also picked up their Slimline Stripes Stencils (you get two in this set)–I love using stripes on my cards!
For my design team project for the Not 2 Shabby Shop, I created 3 slimline cards. I also used my design team stamp of the month called Petals & Pallets by Concord & 9th to stamp out all the pretty flowers for my cards. I have a 10% off coupon for you to use at the shop: NTS10
Card #1: Flower Pallets Card
I used the coordinating Petals & Pallets dies to cut out this darling pallet with white card stock. I then stamped the wood grain stamp over it with gray ink. I had fun stamping out a lot of flowers, and I added dimension to them with my Arteza colored pencils. This added a lot of depth to them. You can hardly see the pallets for all the flowers, but I love how this one turned out!
Card #2: Hydrangea Forever Friends Card
I used the slimline stripes stencil on my colored card stock. I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink over it, and this gave the card a subtle tone-on-tone look. I love the huge forever stamp from the Petals & Pallets stamp set, and it fit just perfectly at the top of the card. I added a bow around my hydrangeas and a few flower blossoms as accents.
Card #3: Grateful Daisies Card
I love stripes with florals, especially black stripes. I used the second stencil from this set and some Black Soot ink to create this panel. I used the pallet die again for this card. This time I cut it out with brown card stock and stamped it with brown ink. I popped up this die cut piece with Arteza foam tape. I also used foam tape behind two of the flowers. The sentiment fit perfectly between the black stripes.
