Hello everyone! I’m playing with even more metallic paints from Arteza. This time it’s their metallic gouache. Gouache is a lot like watercolors except they’re more opaque and they dry matte. I have their set of 12 beautiful metallic gouache paints.

Card #1: Rainbow Tiles Card
On my first card I painted onto a piece a black card stock through a stencil called Tiles. Gouache paints are fairly thick, and I didn’t water it down at all. The paint did seep under the stencil a bit, but that was to be expected–it’s gouache, not texture paste.
I love how this panel turned out! The colors are bright and vibrant with a metallic gleam to it. I cut out my panel with a rectangle faux-stitched die and popped it up on my card with Arteza foam tape.
The sentiment cutting die comes from the In Love Arts Shop. (All of the links are below.) I cut this out with white card stock three times and glued them together to add a little bit of dimension to it.
Card #2: Hydrangea Hello Card
For this card I’m using one of my favorite stamps of all time–it’s an oldie, but a goodie! It’s called Mondo Hydrangea from Ellen Hutson. I painted it in with several different colors–that’s the magic of hydrangeas! I love the look of the painting when it’s dry–the matte metallic look is really stunning. I added some Nuvo Dream Drops to the centers of the flowers.
