Hello Crafty Friends! I’m jumping right into some summertime card crafting. The stamp set I’m using is from the Not 2 Shabby Shop’s latest release. It’s called Summer Time Buddies. This set is filled with adorable images that will make you smile and long for hotter weather.
I designed a set of four cards. The layout of all four is the same, but the scenes are all designed around the darling stamps from this set.

Card #1: Cat On the Beach
On my first card I stamped out the cute little cat and masked it so I could stamp the stand castle behind it. I used some Arteza alcohol markers to color in the images and create a fun beach scene around them.
The Arteza markers are fabulous because with the bullet nib you can easily get into smaller spaces without going outside the lines. I also love all the colors of these markers.

Card #2: Popsicle Pattern Background Card
I used VersaFine Onyx black ink to stamp out my pattern with this cute Popsicle stamp. A I then stamped the sparkle stamp in the empty spaces. The sentiment “Stay Cool” is the perfect sentiment for this card.

Card #3: Fruity Drink on the Beach Card
For this card I stamped the sun on my circle die cut instead of adhering it on separately. I love the happy face stamp included in this set, and I stamped it on the sun and gave him some orange cheeks.

Card #4: Swimming Pup
I used Arteza alcohol markers to color in this pup, but I couldn’t use the same Arctic Blue Arteza marker to color the water or sky around him. My marker ran out of ink. I guess I use this one a lot. I used some Distress Oxide inks and a stencil to create the little scene in this circle. I used Peacock Feathers for the ocean and Tumbled Glass for the sky, and I blended them on with a make-up brush. I then added bubbles around the pup with another of the small stamps from this set. I love how this card turned out!
