Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and happy! I finally found the time to play with the March card kit from Simon Says Stamp. It’s called Better Together, and it’s a beauty! This kit has sold out, but you can buy all the products separately–However, I would skip the watercolor pencils included in the kit. Lol! More on that below. I created 5 cards with this kit–all floral cards and all very different.
Card #1: Split Panel Watercolor Pencil Card
There were 3 floral watercolor panels in this kit, and I used them all. For my first card I went for the beautiful poppy panel. I used the watercolor pencils from the kit, but I didn’t enjoy using them. These pencils aren’t very pigmented. If I could do this over, I’d use my Arteza Watercolor pencils. I almost threw out this panel, but I really wanted to make it work. I cut the panel in half, and then fussy cut around the flowers. I popped them up with foam tape and attached them to the card stock. This made it look fuller. I then attached the sentiment with foam tape in the center.
Card #2: Colored Pencil Dogwood Flower Card
I love this dogwood flower panel! To color it in I pulled out my Arteza colored pencils. They blended nicely on this watercolor paper! After I finished my coloring, I framed it with the striped pattern paper. I did raise it up with foam tape. To embellish it I glued on some Fortune Teller enamel dots–I love these things!!

Card #3: Colored Pencil on Pattern Paper Card
I used my favorite stamp from this set on this card. This vine stamp is so beautiful and unique! I will definitely be pulling this out again. I used my regular sized Misti stamping tool to stamp this out–it wouldn’t fit in my Mini Misti. I stamped it down on one side of the pattern paper, and then all I had to do was flip the paper and stamp again–easy symmetrical stamping. I used 3 Arteza colored pencils to color in the vines, and I allowed the color of the pattern paper to show through on the tips of the petals.

Card #4: Watercolor Pencil Daisy Card
I used the 3rd watercolor panel for card #4. I love daisies! I colored in this panel with the watercolor pencils from the kit. I fussy cut around the petals, and then I used more foam tape to pop it up off the white card stock. To frame it up a bit, I die cut a stitched scallop and glued it down with liquid adhesive.
Card #5: Pattern Paper Showcase Card
I absolutely love all the pattern paper from this kit, and I wanted to use some of my favorites on this card. The bottom layer is a piece of mint card stock, and then I layered stripes of paper over that. I stamped out my image with 3 different colors of Memento ink to create a gradient. I was going to stop here, but I felt it needed something more–and why not add a beautiful flower image? I colored in the flower with more colored pencils. This card it my favorite from the set.
