I was asked to guest design again this month! I created a card using each collection from November’s Flavor of the Month Card kit. The theme is “A Vintage Christmas.” I absolutely love anything vintage–especially Christmas decorations! All the stamps and pattern papers from this kit have that fabulous vintage vibe–they were so much fun to craft with! Out of all the collections in this kit, I really couldn’t choose a favorite. Each collection is awesome, and I loved how all my cards turned out. Check out my YouTube Video below and supply links!

Card #1: Victorian Christmas Card

I stamped this Victorian house onto a piece of kraft card stock from the kit and colored it in using colored pencils. I pulled out my Gelly Roll Pens to add bright glowing colors to the twinkle lights hanging from the eves of the house. I then stamped the snowflakes from the set using white pigment ink.

Card #2: Christmas Post Card

The stamp from this collections is from LDRS, and of the back of the packaging they show a picture of this stamp already colored in. I used this as my inspiration, and colored in my card just like it. I love all the white details they left uncolored on their example. I used a mixture of my Prismacolors and Polychromos pencils to color in this scene.

I used one of the sketches to put this card together. I don’t often create square cards, but I had fun putting this one together. It is a 5″ x 5″ card, and I cut out the square window on the red pattern paper as well as the striped pattern paper using a square die.

Card #3: Jolly Santa Card

I love this Santa image! I’m going to be using this stamp again to make more Christmas cards this year. I colored him in using colored pencils again, but I used a very soft color palette. His hat looks more pink than red, and I love it! I stamped him onto a piece of Insulation Pink card stock. It was my inspiration for coloring in my Santa. It’s such a soft pink–you can’t buy this card stock anymore, so I’m going to hoard the rest of my 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. Lol! I used another card sketch to pull this card together.

Card #4: An Ornamental Christmas Card

I used even more colored pencils this time. I love using them on kraft card stock, so that’s what I did. I masked off the flower that was on this bulb so that I could stamp the sentiment there instead. I heat embossed it with Alabaster White embossing powder, but before I heat embossed it, I just stamped it with embossing ink, colored it in, and then heat embossed it. This allowed me to color in the image without having to go around the raised embossed lines.

Card #5: Noel Ornament Card

I love this die from the Banana Split level! I wanted to cut it out with some glitter paper, so I found a piece that matched really well with the pattern paper from the kit. I cut it out two more times with the die and glued them together. This added more dimension to the die cut.
