Hello! I’m creating Tin Pin cards today! These stamps and pins are from Darcie’s Heart and Home, and I’m using them to create two different cards. These products have been out on the market for a while, but this is the first time I’ve used them. And I can definitely say this won’t be the last! I loved creating these Tin Pin cards!!
Aren’t these images and pins fabulous? I love red rubber stamps; there’s just something about them. They stamp out so crisp and nice.
One of the fun things about these cards is that they have the color scheme all selected for you. It’s also a fun challenge to color in the images to look exactly the same as the packaging example so that the tin pins will match up. However, you could skip the tin pins all together and create your own color scheme.
Here’s how my coloring turned out. I’m holding up the packaging example next to it so you can see how I did. Mine came out a little darker, but it still worked. I used Copic markers to color in the images, and I really got to know the Copic markers in my collection a little better because of this stamp set.
I adhered everything down flat onto my card base–the tin pins add enough dimension in my opinion.
The tin pins have a glue dot attaching them to the packaging, but it didn’t seem strong enough to keep it in place. I added several of my own smaller glue dots onto the back of the pins–they won’t be falling off anytime soon.
Here is the video tutorial for these cards! You can watch it here or on my YouTube Channel in HD. Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for visiting!
