This is the first card I created in my one layer card miniseries using the adorable stamp set from My Favorite Things called Seaside Seagulls. I love creating one layer cards. They are only one layer, so they should be simple, right? Not really. Lol!
It can be difficult coming up with a layout for a one layer card. Your card has to have enough visual interest so people will enjoy looking at it. The images and inks can all be fabulous, but you have to pull it all together on a single piece of paper.
One of the things I like to do with one layer cards is to leave a lot of white space. The white of the card base adds to its simplicity and appeal and makes everything pop.
Once I figured out my layout for this card, my stamping and coloring didn’t take very long at all.
Here’s my video of how I created this card. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for visiting my craft table! You can watch it here or on my YouTube channel in HD.
