Stenciled Arrows Card/Valentine’s Day Card Series/Card 2

I have two cards for you today!  I used the same stamps, dies and stencils for both but for the background panels, I used distress ink on one and texture paste on the other.  They both are fabulous products, but they both gave the cards very different looks.

I’m using an ink blending tool to apply the ink over the stencil on the first card.  I applied it darker in the center and then used a lighter touch toward the edges.  I love this ink; it can be very red if you add enough pressure and ink or with less pressure if can be pink.  All distress inks are a lot of fun to use.  They also come in smaller cubes that come four in a pack.

I used the same ink with some texture paste–fun stuff!!  I smeared that over the stencil to create the background for my second card.  It’s cool to peel off the stencil to reveal what you created!  (Make sure you clean off your craft mat and stencil right away after using this.)

Wplus9 created a fun alphabet stamp set called Whimsy Alpha–love this!!  There is a die set available for it too.  I’ll have to put that on my wish list.  However, they weren’t too hard to fussy cut–even for me.

I used some Tombow tape runner to attached all my elements to my card bases, except for the hearts.  I attached the heart with foam squares–this adds dimension to the cards.

Here’s the video of how all this came together.  You can watch it here on my blog or on my YouTube channel by clicking HERE.  Enjoy!  Thank you for visiting!!
