Summer solstice, the longest day of the year, is just a week away. In fairy folklore it’s also the most magical night of the year. So, I had to make a card for the occasion–to celebrate summer and all its beauties. My card is also a thank you card, so I’m also celebrating the kindness of others. We all have wonderful people in our lives to be grateful for!
The tools I used for this card are all very magical as well. I heat embossed tiny stars all over the panel of this card with clear embossing powder. They were invisible and only popped out when I applied some pretty distress inks over it.
I also used the distress inks to color in my fairy and flower images with a water brush onto watercolor paper.
Some Pretty Pink Posh sequins added the most sparkle and magic to this card. I used 4mm Bermuda Blue and 6mm Lavender Moon.
